Cassandra Bailey
Licensed Practical Nurse
Cassandra Bailey is a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. John’s Recovery Place (SJRP) who has worked in nursing since 2019. Her credentials include LPN, EMR, and IV certification, and her professional background spans pediatrics, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care. These experiences have brought her into a variety of care settings, supporting people with different needs. She also volunteers with the Crescent City Fire Department.
At SJRP, Cassandra administers medications, completes nursing assessments, and monitors treatment effectiveness and adverse reactions. Alongside these responsibilities, she provides compassionate support to patients throughout their care. She is especially passionate about helping people who need encouragement and structure, approaching each person with dignity and without judgment. Building relationships with patients and supporting their efforts toward healthier, more stable lives are meaningful parts of her work.
Compassionate, dependable, and patient, Cassandra brings a welcoming presence and a creative approach to supporting others. She listens closely to the needs of patients, families, and coworkers, making room for their concerns to be heard while remaining focused on safe care. She hopes her interactions offer positivity, moments of joy, and encouragement to face the challenges ahead.
Cassandra chose this field because she wanted to make a difference for people who feel vulnerable, judged, unheard, or uncertain about what comes next. Helping someone believe that change is possible gives her work purpose. She finds satisfaction in the everyday opportunities to support another person and make their day a little better.
Outside of nursing, Cassandra is a scuba diver and divemaster who enjoys diving with manatees and sharks. As a divemaster, she serves as a safety diver while new divers complete their training.
Through attentive nursing care and a commitment to listening, Cassandra contributes to a treatment environment where people can feel valued and supported. Her dedication to helping others believe in themselves reflects SJRP’s mission of helping people achieve recovery, rebuild their lives, and find renewed purpose.
