Georgette Buck

Director of Operations

Georgette Buck serves as Director of Operations at St. John’s Recovery Place, bringing three years of relevant professional experience and a diverse background in emergency communications, transportation coordination, quality management, and direct care. Before joining SJRP, Georgette worked as a supervisor for an ambulance company responsible for the city’s 911 contract. That role included answering emergency calls, providing pre-arrival instructions, dispatching crews, coordinating ambulance and wheelchair transportation, and scheduling teams. Previous experience also includes serving as a Quality Manager for a professional cleaning company and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide.

As Director of Operations, Georgette oversees the facility’s daily operational needs. Responsibilities include employee scheduling, transportation coordination, staff support, and addressing issues as they arise. A hands-on approach allows Georgette to remain closely involved in the day-to-day activity of the facility while helping staff maintain an organized, dependable, and supportive environment for clients.

Compassion, reliability, reasonableness, and accountability guide Georgette’s work. Every interaction is approached with a simple standard: treat each person with the same care and respect that a member of one’s own family should receive. Clients, families, and coworkers can expect a welcoming presence, practical support, and a genuine commitment to maintaining appropriate rules and standards. Georgette wants every person encountered at SJRP to feel cared for, respected, and confident that support will be available when needed.

The most meaningful part of the role is spending time with clients, listening to individual stories, and getting to know each client as a person. Georgette also values opportunities to bring happiness and laughter into the treatment environment, sometimes through a conversation and sometimes through a little dancing.

A strong desire to help others led Georgette to this field. Being part of work that gives someone an opportunity to change a life carries deep personal meaning. For Georgette, helping even one family avoid the devastating loss of a loved one makes the work worthwhile.

Outside of SJRP, Georgette enjoys dancing, visiting Disney, floating down the river, watching all types of football, and traveling, with a long-term goal of seeing the world.
