Why Another Drug Rehab in Fort Lauderdale?

There’s certainly no shortage of drug rehabs in South Florida. You’ll see plenty of detox centers, residential rehabs, and outpatient facilities. So why did SJRP decide to add another drug rehab in Fort Lauderdale?

Well, we didn’t exactly. We know what we have going in central Florida is something special, and we didn’t want to take away from that. But we did want to provide more opportunities for individuals who need our help to have access to it.

So, we opened admissions offices to the north in Jacksonville and to the south in Ft. Lauderdale. Team members at these offices help clients get set up and transitioned into our drug or alcohol rehab facilities as seamlessly as possible.

The SJRP Story

Our primary location is in Crescent City, Florida, situated on acres of beautiful land surrounded by inspiring nature and calming Crescent Lake.

When we ventured on this mission to open a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center several years ago, we spent significant time searching for the perfect location and environment. With years of experience in the addiction treatment field, our team knew first hand the dos and don’ts of what is most beneficial in rehab.

We were steadfast in creating a space that stood out and could make a true difference in the lives of people suffering from addiction.

We found the ideal location in Crescent City, FL. Acres of land filled with soul-soothing nature and the ideal facility that we could reinvigorate to bring our vision to life. Our individualized, holistic approach to treatment fit right into this environment.

But We Didn’t Stop There

From there, we knew we needed to expand into outpatient facilities to offer our clients the next step in the continuous care we believe in. We wanted to remain somewhat central to provide easy access while still being a relatively short distance from our main facility. We found locations in DeLand and Melbourne for our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

We then went on to procure off-site housing and sober living homes for individuals in need of a safe space conducive to continuing their journey to sobriety.

As we continued to grow and be the source of hope for so many individuals, we realized that we were under-serving some of our clients in other areas of Florida.

We opened up admissions offices in Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville to provide additional accessibility and support for those who wanted our help.

The dedicated team members in our admissions offices help with getting you started on your rehab journey. From answering questions and offering support, to helping create your treatment plan and verifying insurance, and ultimately, assisting with transportation to either our residential or outpatient facility.

We’re Committed To Your Recovery

When you look at the addiction treatment field, you’ll notice many detox facilities, sober living homes, outpatient sites, and residential treatment centers that work independent of each other. SJRP wanted to be more than that.

In the chaos that is addiction, we want to be your constant. We don’t want you to feel like you have to shuffle from one place to the next and figure it out on your own. From the initial stages of detox through treatment and beyond, we are there to support and guide you.

Once you’ve completed your treatment we go a step beyond by offering Aftercare Services. Our aftercare program is a continuity of care that includes resources such as group therapy, counseling, and even career-building classes.

Yet we still felt like that wasn’t quite enough. We wanted to extend that camaraderie and support network that clients find during their time at SJRP. And we really didn’t want to lose touch and stop seeing the newly happy faces of our clients after they finished their programs. So we created an Alumni Group.

In this social network, clients who have completed rehab can continue to stay in touch over many, many years to come. Our annual picnic and gatherings throughout the year become fabulous opportunities to reconnect. A private Facebook group allows peers to lend an ear during times of need or cheer on each others’ successes. Some individuals even choose to come back and speak at SJRP to be a source of hope to current clients and a testament to the absolute possibility of recovery and a wonderful new life of sobriety.

It Doesn’t Have to Be This Way

An estimated 20.4 million people in the US aged 12 and older are living with a substance use disorder, according to SAMHSA’s 2019 report. Unfortunately, only a small percentage of those people seek help. And sadly, in Florida, there are thousands of overdose deaths each year that take the lives of our friends and family. In 2019 alone, 5,577 individuals died as a result of a drug overdose.

You don’t need to end up that way.

If you or a loved one are suffering from addiction, know that changing your life around is possible!

Don’t think it’s too late.

Don’t say that you’re too broken.

Don’t believe that you’re too far gone.

We’ve seen countless individuals walk through our doors who were skeptical, who had done this dance before, who thought they couldn’t be fixed. And then something happened.

Impacted by SJRP’s environment, approach, and staff, these same individuals found the courage and strength for positive change.

You have nothing to lose by going to rehab, but so many things that you could gain. Call our admissions office in Fort Lauderdale today to find out more information and see how you can get started on your journey to recovery.

At St. John’s Recovery Place, we accept most insurances and work hard to become an in-network provider so that addiction treatment can be attainable for you.
